As we’re barely into 2013, rumors of upcoming devices are already swirling. From all the talk going around it looks like 2013 could be a very big year for many different players. Today we’re rounding up all the rumors flying around to make sense of it all.
Apple: There has been a lot of press on Apple lately due to a drop in its stock prices. Certain analysts have projected that their best days are behind them. It doesn’t help that recent cuts in iPhone production only add to the rumor.
Another rumor that has been gaining traction is that an iPad and iPad mini refresh is due in March. The iPad line was updated in November so this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt but with the competition ramping up, Apple may choose to shorten their release cycle.
Samsung: Even though the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are still in high demand, rumors of the inevitable Galaxy S4 have emerged. Riding on the success of its predecessors, the S4 is rumored to be a 4.99′ inch screen device powered by one of Samsung’s newly announced processors. The addition of a curved screen/edge of the likes that was shown off at CES is also possible.
RIM: While rumors are unconfirmed, the recent specification and picture leaks of the Z10 (pictured below) are almost guaranteed. The specification lists a 4.2-inch hd display with a 1,280 x 768 resolution, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, LTE and an 1,800 mAh battery. With RIM having steadily lost market share, a lot is riding on the Z10 to revitalize a dying brand.
HTC: After a difficlut quarter HTC is ready to make a comeback with a new flagship device dubbed as the M7. Supposed it will have a 4.7 inch HD display and a 1.7GHz quad-core processor. Details are still vague on the M7.
This is only the beginning of 2013 and we already have a lot of exciting news to look forward to.
